My name is Dane Sung, and I'm a 17-year-old singer/songwriter from Vancouver BC. After undergoing 5 surgeries in just under a year and a half, my resiliency was tested when I was sidelined from participating in all the things I loved during grades 10 and 11, including all team and individual sports, as well as playing guitar and piano. Recognizing the power of music to uplift and inspire me through my most challenging days, now that I am recovering, I am organizing a concert with other young artists to support BC Children's Hospital. I chose to support BC Children's Hospital, knowing that I, and many other young people, have received excellent care and support in their facility. While the Music Therapy program is extremely important to me, given my connection to music, this fundraising effort supports all donor-funded programs at Children's Hospital. I am especially grateful to Dr. Jeff Pike and his team.
